I remember when I first stepped foot in Hollywood. I had big dreams of being an actor and playing the leading man roles, like Aragorn or Batman, that had inspired me growing up. But I pretty quickly realized I had no idea how to get from where I was to where I wanted to be. I felt so strongly about the “call” I felt in my heart from God to be a part making redemptive art, to write and act in inspiring stories. But when it came to the nitty gritty practical steps of how to take that dream and turn into reality, I was lost.

So over the following few years, through trial and error, tragedy and triumph, I began to piece together an understanding of how to go about building my dreams into a reality. But it was hard won knowledge that as I look back makes me wish I had had more voices of wisdom guiding me along the way– voices who knew the ins and the outs of this industry. Voices who were able to provide practical advice about the ever present “what do I do now?” question. Voices who could help me avoid the potholes, know which door to choose, and how to open it.

A few years back, as I pondered my early years as an actor, writer, filmmaker, and artist– I decided I would be that voice for those who, like me, had a dream in their hearts, but just needed some guidance in following it. So I became a certified Creative Coach and began coaching aspiring creatives wanting to figure out just how to go about supporting themselves with and creating a life around their calling…
